The Clerk holds marriage records from 1838, probate records from 1820, and land records from 1819. Maumelle is a planned city that was developed in the 1970s and 1980s as a suburb of Little Rock, so it does not have the kind of deep local history that older Arkansas communities do. However, the land that Maumelle now occupies has been part of Pulaski County since 1818, and the county courthouse holds records for families who were in the area well before the planned city was developed. The Pulaski County record base is one of the most extensive in Arkansas and gives researchers nearly two centuries of continuous documentation.

The Maumelle City Clerk at City Hall holds city records including ordinances and historical documents.
